Studies confirm: Married people are happier than those who are single

Married people have more reasons to be more satisfied than those who are free and alone because those who have a partner can share costs, they do not have to fear that they will remain alone in their old age and can spend more time with other satisfied married couples , according to a study published in the journal Journal Happiness Studies.
In addition, people who are married feel well-being and are generally more satisfied with their lives.
The researchers received these data on the basis of two British surveys, and the purpose was to examine the advantages of marriage and marriage friendships. The survey, conducted between 1991 and 2009, collected data from 30,000 people, according to study authors Sean Grover and John Hevelwell from the School of Economics in Vancouver.
The researchers also looked at the annual data of residents between 2011 and 2013 and thus received data on 328,000 Britons. The data reveals how satisfied people are in marrige, how satisfied are those who are currently unmarried and those who have never been married.
After carefully analyzing the data, they found that marriage can significantly increase the satisfaction in life, especially for those who are approaching or are in the middle age. In addition, the researchers also dealt with the effects of friendship between spouses and found that this could be the key to long-term well-being.
