Peas (lat. Pisum sativum) is all well-known vegetable whose shape is round in shape and green. It is best to consume it while fresh. The caloric value of peas is: 84 calories per 100 gr. When preserved, the number of calories is somewhat smaller, and when is dried is far greater.
The greens consist of water, 79 g, protein in the amount of 6.5 gr, fat (0.4 gr), carbohydrates (14 g), vitamins A, B1, B2, C and E and mineral salts (iron, sodium, calcium , potassium, phosphorus, zinc). Recipes for cooking peas are numerous, and each is at least a nuance different from the other. We present three tried and tested recipes for boiled peas with meat. Peas prepared in any of these ways, consume at lunch, with salad and bread, the best is to be integrated.
Recipes with young peas
Young peas with pork. For this recipe Pre-treatment: 400 g of pork meat 300g pea, 2 onions, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 carrots, 2 tablespoons of flour and after 1 teaspoon red pepper, and a little salt, the dry vegetable spices, a pinch of ground pepper, a few laurel leaves and a little parsley. Chop the meat into cubes and peel the onion peel and chop it as well. In a saucepan pour oil, and put the meat and onion, and add the bay leaf and a little water, then simmer and stir occasionally. When the meat is completely fry, add the fresh peas, pour the water and lower the temperature. Let the beans simmer for about an hour, but at some point, add the spices and chopped garlic. On the other hand, prepare a roux of oil, flour and paprika, before the end of cooking, add the peas. Leave the beans to cook for another 3 minutes. Add parsley in the end.
Frozen peas with beef. To prepare this recipe you’ll need: 1 onion, 1 carrot, 3 tablespoons oil, 350 grams of beef, 400 ml of water, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon of the mixture of herbal spices and a little cayenne pepper. When you chop the onion and carrot, fry them in oil. Pour all the water and then add the chopped beef, and season with salt and add the spices. When it boils, turn down the fire, and cook for 1 hour. After an hour, add 450 gr frozen peas, chopped 1 potato, chopped 1 clove garlic, 3 dl water ½ teaspoon salt. Mix it all together, but when it boils, reduce heat and cook for 45 minutes. At the end of the mix the so-called roux with 1 tsp of flour 1 teaspoon of sugar (or cayenne pepper) and 1 dl of water (or a small amount of oil), and pour into peas, and after three minutes of cooking, peas is ready!
Peas with sausage. For this recipe prepare 400 g of peas, 2 carrots, onions 1, 2 pairs of sausages, a little oil, ½ teaspoon ground paprika, 1 tablespoon of vegetable spices (optional), and 1 teaspoon salt. In a saucepan pour oil, and in it fry the onion. Then add the chopped carrots and peas. Pour all with 2 ounces of water and simmer on low heat. After that, peas and season with salt. Let the beans simmer for half an hour, and finally add the chopped sausage.
