Without additional sugars and preservatives: The easiest recipe for homemade strawberry jam

Strawberry season is still ongoing, and except in fresh edition, these red fruits are irresistible in the form of jam.

Today, we present a recipe for jam of strawberries, which contains no sugar or preservatives, and is so easy to prepare that will succeed even the novice in the kitchen.



– 1 kg berries
– 60 oz. lime juice
– 3 teaspoons grated lemon peel
– 70 g. honey


1. Slice the cleaned strawberries and blend them, and then place them in a deeper container.

2. Add the remaining ingredients: grated zest, lemon juice and honey. Stir well and bring to cook on medium to light fire with frequent stirring.

3. When the mixture is thick enough, or when the bubbles begin to appear, after about 45 minutes of cooking, jam is ready. Allow to cool and strawberry jam is ready for consumption.

Thus prepared jam store it in the fridge and consume it within 2 weeks. Baring in mind that does not contain additional sugars that would otherwise serve as a natural preservative, it is prone to faster decay if is not kept in a cool place and is not eaten in the shorter term.
