Nobody wants to have a bloated belly that resembles a huge balloon that is about to explode, and not to mention all the gases and discomfort. Unfortunately, for some people, bloating is a normal part of their lifestyle.
What causes your belly to bloat?
You don’t drink enough water – you should know that many health problems usually appear if you don’t drink enough water every day. Well, this usually happens when you drink coffee or alcohol. So, if you drink coffee and alcohol, make sure you drink 6-8 glasses of water as well. You should also know that when you don’t drink enough water, your organism starts using the liquids it can find, which means that bloating can be caused due to fluid retention. For that reason, you have to start drinking lots of water.
Constipation – not emptying your bowels regularly will trap gases behind your stool thereby leading to bloating. Eating fiber rich food can help relieve you of your constipation concerns. You can eat berries, have a smoothie diet plan and substitute white bread for whole grain bread.
Too much stress – even excessive stress can lead to bloating, according to a recent study. This happens as a result of the fact that stress also affects proper digestive function, and can trigger stomach ache and constipation as well. Try reducing your exposure to stress if you suffer from this condition.
You eat too fast – if you don’t chew your food properly, the body will process it more slowly and bloating may appear. Also, it is very significant to eat in small bites.
Excessive carb intake – your bloating belly could be caused by consumption of carbohydrates. Cut off your sugar intake and alcohol, eat more fresh fruits and veggies, and also eat low-carb foods.
