Tap the toes to see if you have a heart problem

Your toenails reveal a lot about your overall health and can help learn of your heart, according to recent studies.

As we said it was found by studies that your health is in good shape if you are sufficiently resilient and manage to get to your toes.

It was published in Heart and Circulatory Physiology Journal explains that you can very easily test the condition of the heart with a simple touch of your fingertips.

Here is a simple method: Just sit on the floor with legs and arms stretched forward, with fingers pointing upwards. Try it with your hands to touch the tip of your toes.

So, as we said earlier if your body is flexible enough to touch the fingers, it indicates that too, and your heart is in a good shape and it’s healthy.

The study included 526 participants aged 20 to 83, and was conducted by researchers from the University of North Texas and Japan.

The participants had to perform the test to determine the elasticity of the body, and had previously been measured their blood pressure and elasticity of arteries and heart activity

When the study was over, the researchers found a link between the elasticity of the body and arteries, especially among participants over the age of 40.

What was happening was that those who can not reach the end of their fingers actually have claimed walls of blood vessels, indicating a worsening of the cardiovascular system, as well as increased risk of heart disease.

The Japanese researcher Dr Yamamoto: “If you can tap your toes while standing upright, you have a pretty healthy heart. But if you can do it, you may need to visit a cardiologist. ”

Because of the same collagen composition, stiffness of the muscles of the back and legs associated with the elasticity of the heart muscle and blood vessels.

But, what it is important is that stiff muscles are not always a sign of heart disease, but might suggest some other current diseases, said the doctor.
