organic food

Here is an attempt to explain and help for those who are in doubt, when they want to buy some of these products.

The designation “100% Organic” means that all the ingredients in a product must be completely organic.

The designation “organic food” means at least 95% pure organic food product.

And 100% and 95% of organic products on the label should have the official stamp of the WHO.

The designation “food with organic ingredients” means – at least 70% of organic food, but does not have seal for healthy organic food.

Foods with less than 70% organic matter can not and must not have on the label the word “organic”.

These four explanations are a condition for the recognition of organic products in the stores.

The beginning of the definition of organic food is based on the interest of consumers for organic foods that are not chemically treated, the use of pesticides and the like. Such ingredients are purchased directly from growers. With increasing demand for organic food, has increased and the number of growers of such products which have a regular inspection control of their products in order to remain certified organic producers. Organic food usually includes fruits and vegetables, but the term is used for foods of animal origin as well, if the animals are reared and fed in a healthy and natural way.
