At a time when the festive table is filled with sweets, salty and fatty delicacies, we sometimes forget the allies of our digestive system. Although cookies, roast meat and other delicacies are made for us, our digestive system is not exactly enjoying them, although is “in love” in nutritional fibers. Therefore we propose 3 recipes with whom your digestive system will work within a few minutes!
Is not necessarily for the holidays to deny the favorite delicacies, but do not forget the fruit, vegetables and water!
1. Warm water and lemon
In a glass of lukewarm water squeeze lemon and drink it. This drink you can consume it preventive, and thus you’ll prevent digestive upsets.
2. Olive oil and lemon
Swallow a tablespoon of olive oil, optional enriched with natural lemon juice. This is a home remedy for movement of the digestive system, and it is best to be consumed in the morning or several hours after a meal.
3. Baking soda and warm water
A cup of warm water, mix half a teaspoon of baking soda. This commodity has been known for generations as an ally of poor digestion, but it is important to note that you should only use pharmaceutical baking soda without aluminum, which you can buy in a pharmacy or health food stores.
Note: This recipe is not recommended for those suffering from stomach ulcer.
These recipes, and others who are similar to them, are welcome when digestion is slowed so you need ‘external’ help, as quickly as possible.
But do not lit up the “red headlamps” for uproar, don’t forget in the daily diet to include:
- Fruits and vegetables rich in fiber (beans, carrots, broccoli, orange…)
- Whole grains (barley, oats…)
And do not forget to move, even if it is a ten-minute walk around your neighborhood.
